Fishing

This page shows a few pictures of the fish that I caught !
When ever I have a few hours in the day or I just want to get away from things, I go fishing !

Fish come in all different shapes and SIZES.

The bigger the better...

I caught two big bass that that.

However, one jumped off as I was gringing it up from the water to the pier.

Hello Jack.
This fish is known as a Jack, but sometimes refered to as a yellow fin.
Most of the time I catch small sharks.
Sharks are always a fun battle.
Get the grill ready for this one.....

I cought this fish 11/7/04.  I was actually getting ready to leave and as I was bringing in my lines I pulled on the rod.... and fish on from there...

This fish was so big that I had to throw it back... I did not want to pay the big $$$$ fine.

However, bringing this massive fish in was fun and challenging.

This is the biggest Sting Ray that I have ever caught!
A few people know that when you fish off the pier you can always count on catching a sting ray. But not this big! The average ray caught is about the size of a shoe box lid.
However, this sting ray was big and heavy. I estimate it weighing about 50 lbs or so. You can tell that I am somewhat strugling with it. It was rather heavy and hard to hold up.
And like anything else this size... it put up a great fight!
I couldn't resist one more picture of this one.

I truly struggled holding this fish up.... after a 20 minute fight... and a 10 minute walk to the end of the pier (the shore)... holding it up was purely adrenaline driven.
